Kate Toole

Research Associate

Kate Toole is a Research Associate at the Center for Global Health Science and Security. In this role, Kate manages the Center’s COVID Analysis and Mapping of Policies (COVID AMP) project. Her interests include infectious disease medicine, pandemic preparedness, and global health security. Prior to working with the Center, Kate worked with the Pan-American Health Organization’s COVID-19 Incident Management Support and Public Affairs Teams to track regional response efforts. She also worked with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response at the Department of Health and Human Services and provided research assistance for the Nuclear Threat Initiative’s Global Health Security Index. She graduated from Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in May 2022 with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) with a concentration in Global Health and a minor in biology. She will be moving to Peru to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in 2023.
