Ryan Remmel

Graduate Student Research Assistant

Ryan is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Global Health Science and Security. He joined the Center in early 2020, previously working as a Global Health Initiative Student Fellow and an Undergraduate Research Assistant.

With experience in legislative offices and global health advocacy, Ryan’s research interests include health security policymaking in Congress, infectious disease diagnostics, and international collaboration for public health capacity building. His work has been published in Health Security (new window), and he has presented (new window) research (new window) at the Global Health Security Conference.

Ryan is a current masters student in the Global Infectious Disease Program (new window) at Georgetown University, with a concentration in Science Policy. He graduated summa cum laude in 2022 from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, majoring in Science, Technology and International Affairs with a concentration in Biotechnology and Global Health and a minor in Biology.
