Undergraduate Research Assistant
Ryan Remmel is an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Center for Global Health Science & Security, where he works under Dr. Katz and Dr. Phelan to study governments’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic. At Georgetown, he is studying Science, Technology and International Affairs with a concentration in Biotechnology and Global Health.
Ryan has experience working for legislators at the state and national level, most recently interning in the office of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, chair of the Health Subcommittee and a leader on health security issues. He is passionate about improving cooperation between scientists and policymakers in the fields of pandemic preparedness and prevention.
