Alexandra (Allie) Reichert is a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Health Science and Security. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2018 with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Anthropology of Global Health. Her research interests center on medical anthropology, women’s health, intercultural health, Latin America, and health equity.
Ms. Reichert received a Fulbright Research scholarship in 2018 to Ecuador. Her research investigated health care inequalities among Kichwa women living in the highland and Amazonian regions of the country. As primary investigator, she sought to understand the voices and concerns of Kichwa women in both regions to write an ethnography and influence lasting policy change. In 2019, she moved to Washington, DC and spent the last year working at Health Affairs health policy journal as a project coordinator. Currently, she is working on a variety of projects with Dr. Rebecca Katz and other Center faculty on analysis related to the COVID-19 policy response in Latin America, health systems strengthening, and biosecurity.
