Brenna Means

Brenna Means is a graduate student in the Emergency and Disaster Management Program at Georgetown. She is currently working full-time as a program analyst for FEMA and attends classes in the evening. As a Graduate Research Assistant in the Center for Global Health Science & Security, she is working under Dr. Claire Standley to update emergency management training and capacity building resources to reflect the new COVID-19 environment for a new CDC Foundation-funded website. 

Brenna graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. As an undergraduate, she worked as a student researcher for the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) at UMD, on the Risk Communication and Community Resilience team. Brenna is passionate about the role risk communication plays in the emergency management space.
