Justin Kerr, PhD is a leader in applying technology in new ways to solve complex data and analysis challenges, particularly in scientific research and at the intersection of public health preparedness and emergency response. In his current role as Principal Architect and Scientist at Google, he is part of Google Public Sector, and focuses on supporting federal agencies with healthcare, research, and public health missions. 

Previously, Dr. Kerr was Head of Research at Talus Analytics where he led development of new data analysis and decision support tools used by governments and global non-profits. These projects included support for CDC, DHS, FEMA, and state governments in the US, the UN, and WHO. From the earliest days, Talus provided extensive support to COVID-19 response efforts, including for CDC. In addition, he partnered with the Georgetown University Center for Global Health Science and Security on multiple, high-impact research and policy analysis projects. 

Dr. Kerr also held roles as Senior Analyst at Gryphon Scientific and was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Florida.
