Elyse Gaertner

Doctoral Student

Elyse Gaertner is a Ph.D. student rotating in the One Health Lab at Georgetown University. She received her B.S. degree in biology from Boston College. She is interested in learning about the intersection between bench research and policy implementation for stopping the spread of infectious diseases. Her current work focuses on how to improve serological detection of infectious diseases in Guinea. Elyse has previously worked in the Alt Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital studying antibody creation and recently finished studying potential antibody therapeutics with the Bonsignori Lab at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.
