Margaret Dunne

Margaret Dunne is an MSc candidate in Control of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is interested in improving health equity through strengthening community response to infectious diseases. Margaret is working on her master’s research project with Dr. Colin Carlson and Dr. Rebecca Katz looking at the association between conflict and infectious disease outbreaks. Previously, Margaret served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana where she assisted the Government of Botswana in their response to HIV/AIDS at the local government level. In addition, she worked with community members to address the persistence of HIV through co-facilitating education programs, behavior change workshops, and support groups for adolescents living with HIV. Margaret graduated from Georgetown University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in International Health.
