Alaa Mohamed, MSc
Alaa Mohamed is currently a Research Associate at the Georgetown Center for Global Health Science and Security. She has focused her research efforts on the MENA/EMRO Health Security Systems project led by Dr. Erin Sorrell. Her other research interests include Emerging Infectious Diseases, Zoonotic Disease, Tropical Medicine, Antimicrobial Resistance, Immunology, and Microbiology.
Alaa holds a Master of Science degree in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University. She has also received a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University, where she majored in Cell and Molecular Biology, and minored in Bioinformatics and Biochemistry.
