Jas Mantero

Project Consultant

Jas Mantero is an Italian public health medical doctor. He currently works as an independent consultant covering mainly epidemic intelligence tasks for the Center for Global Health Science & Security. He also has consulted for other institutions including Ending Pandemics (participatory verification of public health events); Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital (WHO VSN project) and Doctors with Africa (health information system). Jas has worked in the area of public health for the past 16 years with a focus on all aspects related to early detection, verification, assessment, and response to public health events at international (WHO, ECDC, EU Commission) and local level (MSF, Italian Health Cooperation). Jas has a PhD in epidemics early warning and infectious diseases surveillance.
