Date: Thursday, April 25, 2019

Time: 3:00 – 4:00PM

Location: Healy/Maguire Hall, Room 304

The International Health Regulations (2005) are the most important document governing the responses to public health emergencies. Implementation of the IHR (2005) within a state creates several governance challenges. Dr. Kumanan Wilson and Lindsay Wilson will explore obstacles to effective implementation within federal states and challenges National IRH Focal Points (NFPs) may experience meeting IHR (2005) standards. They will further suggest potential solutions to these challenges, including leveraging new technologies.

This event was a part of the Global Health Security Seminar Series, which is co-sponsored by Georgetown’s Center for Global Health Science and Security and the Global Health Initiative.
