Mark Meyer, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark Meyer is a biostatistician and affiliate of the Center for Global Health Science and Security. His primary appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Georgetown College, where he is an Assistant Professor of Statistics. His methodological research is on novel methods for repeatedly sampled, high dimensional data, specifically in the statistical subfields of functional data analysis, categorical data analysis, Bayesian statistics, and longitudinal data analysis. Dr. Meyer draws motivation for his methodological work from data and problems arising in the biomedical and biological sciences. He further conducts research with collaborators in substantive fields whose analytical needs intersect with his methodological interests, particularly in the fields of global health security, environmental health, neurology, animal behavior, development psychology, and political science.

Dr. Meyer holds a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Harvard University. He has previously held positions at Bucknell University as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute as an IRTA Fellow.
