Braylee E. Weets, B.A.

Legal Research Associate

Braylee Weets is a Legal Research Associate at the Center for Global Health Science and Security. She earned a B.A. in Global Studies: Global Security and Justice at the University of Virginia in May 2025. 

As an undergraduate, Braylee worked as a Research Assistant at Georgetown Law’s O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law in the HIV Policy Lab. She specifically contributed to work exploring correlations between national policies and HIV infection/ risk with a focus on Sub-Saharan African countries. 

Braylee’s specific research interests include health security policy, spatial analysis of human migration and health patterns, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) access. At the Center, Braylee works with Dr. Rebecca Katz, contributing to projects mapping and analyzing the relationship between global health policies and health indicators. Braylee also operates as the Chief of Staff and spokesperson for the Health Security Operations Center.
