Rebecca Copeland

Rebecca Copeland is a Graduate Research Assistant for the Center for Global Health Science and Security working under Dr. Alexandra Phelan supporting the United Nations Secretary General’s Mechanism – Biological Weapons Convention project. 

Rebecca is finishing a Master of Arts in Security Studies at the School of the Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She is concentrating in U.S. National Security Policy and Security and Technology. Rebecca has spent the past five years supporting the U.S. Department of State, Education and Cultural Affairs Bureau through Georgetown University as the Digital Projects Senior Analyst for English Language Programs. She has previously worked in development, non-profits, and served as an AmeriCorps Vista in Boston MA . Rebecca is passionate about nuclear, chemical, and biological weapon threats and completed the Nuclear Nonproliferation, Safeguards, and Security (NNSS) course with Brookhaven National Laboratory in July 2021. A graduate of Suffolk University Rebecca holds a Bachelors in Journalism.
