Sam Halabi, J.D.

Sam Halabi is the 2017-18 Fulbright Canada Research Professor in Health Law, Policy, and Ethics at the University of Ottawa, Ontario as well as a Scholar at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University and an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Missouri. He is the editor (with Larry Gostin and Jeff Crowley) of Global Management of Infectious Disease after Ebola (OUP 2016) as well as Food and Drug Law in an Era of Globalized Markets (Elsevier Academic Press 2015). His work is published in JAMA, the Lancet, and the Journal of Law, Medicine, and Ethics, among others. He is also the co-chair (with Gian Luca Burci) of the Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications Working Group of the Global Virome Project. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MPhil from the University of Oxford (St. Antony’s College) and a B.S., summa cum laude, from Kansas State University.
