Zahra Izzi
Undergraudate Research Assistant
Zahra Izzi is a current Georgetown undergraduate student in the Class of 2027 pursuing a B.S. in Healthcare Management and Policy on the pre-medical track, and a minor in Statistics.
She joined CGHSS as an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Rebecca Katz in the Spring of 2024. Her previous work with the Center includes policy research regarding child immunizations and national infectious diseases, along with legal work regarding public health emergencies and disaster preparedness for the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health.
Through the Georgetown University Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, Zahra is currently leading a study investigating global animal health laws and zoonotic disease control under the Center’s Analysis and Mapping of Policies for Emerging Infectious Diseases (AMP-EID) project.
