The Health Governance and Diplomacy Lab investigates the laws, policies, organizations and financing mechanisms that govern prevention, preparedness, response and recovery to public health. emergencies.
What We Do
We curate data on policies, laws and regulations relevant to public health emergencies and infectious disease threats, regardless of origin.
We assess and analyze how pandemic preparedness and response policies, law and regulations impact population health outcomes.
We engage in scholarship around global governance regimes for health security, contributing to discourse on international and regional agreements to national and subnational implementation.
We track the flow of financing and develop costing tools related to pandemic preparedness and response.
We design metrics and provide policy guidance for subnational and national authorities.
We train the next generation of global health diplomats.
We support the global health security community of practice.
